Christmas

Daddy helping the boys swing at the pinata

Daddy taking the boys sleding

My boys at their new picnic table & playing with their Oliver Tractors (the only time they will ever play with them)

Christmas was a lot of fun this year. The boys actually tore some of the wrapping paper. We spent Christmas eve with Morgan's family and Christmas day with mine. Wyatt and Lancer got a lot of fun things, and so did Morgan and me!!! It was a white Christmas. The boys got to try out their new snow suits and sled. Wyatt was happy as long as somebody was pulling him around. Lancer just wasn't having any of it. Maybe when it snows again he won't be so scared. They did look awful cute in their snow suits though. We went to the Hallow's family Christmas party on Saturday. It is always a good time. Wyatt and Lancer both swung at the pinata this year. We'll have to practice swinging a bat so next year they can break it!!! Well 2008 was a good year and hopefully this next year will be even better.

On the Road Again

Well we are in Grand Junction now. Morgan took a welding test for Jacob's in Cortez last Thursday and passed (yay) and they told him he had to be in GJ by Friday at 7. So here we are. It happens so quick, I'm getting good at packing on short notice. I like it so far. There is lots of shopping. We bought a laptop for Christmas. I love it. Cami and Justin are here until January, so at least I have 1 friend for now. I feel bad for Morgan he has to drive almost 3 hours to and from work each day. The job is actually above Parachute, Co but the West Junction rv park was the closest one I could find that had any open spots. They say this is only suppose to be a 2 month job, but who knows. It's been snowing almost everyday since we got here so they don't get much done. But i guess we'll see.

Birthday Boys

Wyatt and Lancer are 1 year old!!! How crazy is that? I can remember not too long ago when I was a blimp and about to pop. Now my little boys aren't so little anymore. We had a party for them at their Aunt Tammy's house. It was a combined party with their cousin Kenna. She just had a birthday too. Lots of fun. Morgan and I gave them Tickle Me Elmo chairs that Lancer just loves. When you sit in them, it shakes and laughs. We also got them some CAT construction toys. Grandma and Grandad Oliver gave them these cute miniature red wagons and some clothes. Grandma and Grandpa Christensen gave them some bath toys and they have another present coming next week from them. They also received some clothes and other toys from their aunts and uncles. Lancer got after his cake. He was shoveling it in his mouth. Wyatt was too occupied with the candle (we didn't light it but put it in anyway) They were kinda grouchy because they didn't get a nap, but I guess you live and learn and we'll know better next year.

Future Hunters

I found these cute camo hats at Cabelas and I just couldn't help but buy them. My little Wyatt loves to wear hats and tries to put them on. Lancer's not so fond but he might come around. Their dad dressed them that day-long sleeve shirts with shorts-but I appreciate the help. Then Aunt Julie came to visit and she bought an outfit for her soon to be boy and Wyatt & Lancer tried it on to see if it would fit. My little hunters.

Crazy Pipeliners

Morgan took these pictures at work. I guess these guys were trying to pull a pipe out of the ground. It doesn't look too safe to me.

Ogden Job

Well the welding job in Ogden ended so we came back to Cortez and parked our home next to my parent's house for now. Here are some pictures from that job.

Halloween

So I am finally posting some Halloween pictures. Wyatt and Lancer dressed up as horses. They looked so cute. We took them to the Trunk-R-Treat at the church and then the Pleasant View Carnival. I think they will enjoy it a lot more next year. Lancer has the black mane and Wyatt has the white mane.

My Little Campers

Here are some more pictures of our family reunion. The first one is Lancer and Wyatt when we went on our hike. We didn't get too far, taking pictures was more fun. The next picture is Grandma giving Lancer a bath while Wyatt looks on in anticipation. They were lucky and got to be clean while camping. It's a good thing Grandma has a trailer to put the tub in. We went on a little walk another afternoon and Lancer just couldn't make it and fell asleep in the backpack. It doesn't look too comfortable to me. Then there is the boys in their pajamas. They look awful warm and cute! The next one is Lancer and Wyatt with Great Grandpa, all in their overalls. What a precious picture-love it.

Hallows Family Campout 08

The first weekend in August we had our annual Hallows Family Campout! It was so much fun. We go up to our very own campground in SheepValley (It's up by Fish Lake Utah) for 4 days. It's with all my relatives on my mom's side of the family. We play lots of volleyball, crafts, have races, limbo, bubble gum blowing contest, skits, games, a hike, nightly programs, and tons of good food. I love going and hanging out with all my cousins and relatives. I think there's over 70 of us now. It's a good thing we all get along! This was the first time Wyatt and Lancer have gone camping. They did pretty good. Here's a family photo, sorry we look kinda scary we haven't showered in 3 days.

Yellowstone Trip

In June we went on a family trip to Yellowstone with my parents and siblings. Morgan had to work so he didn't get to go, but it was a fun trip. We stayed in this cabin that was absolutely beautiful in Island Park, Idaho. We spent 2 days going through Yellowstone and then another day we went to Jackson Hole and went water rafting. It was a blast and my mom was nice enough to watch Wyatt and Lancer so I could go rafting. While we were in Jackson Hole, we went to the Bar J chuck wagon, it was really entertaining and I would recommend it to anyone. In Yellowstone we saw lots of wildlife...Moose, Bear, and tons of Buffalo!! We saw lots of Geysers and yep, I even saw Old Faithful. The only thing that sucked was the weather. It was so cold and snowy (In June!!!) so I saw quite a bit of stuff from the car so I wouldn't have to take the boys out in the cold. It was really fun, too bad Morgan couldn't be there.

Double the Trouble

Well here we go again. Update on the boys: Lancer is picking up cheerios and putting them in his mouth all on his own. I'm so proud. Anything to do with food he's all for it. He's not crawling but he is rolling around. He seems to be getting bigger and bigger. I can't believe my boys will be 8 months old in a couple days. Wyatt is all over the place. He's crawling like crazy. It's pretty funny, he sticks his left leg out, so he looks pretty goofy. But he gets around. He crawled up the steps all by himself yesterday. I was looking all around for him (not that there is a lot of places he could be in an RV) and he was sitting up in the bedroom. He's a smart cookie. Now that he is crawling he spends most of the day following me around climbing up my leg and crying for me to pick him up. But I'm just waiting until both kids are doing that.

I'm new...I don't know what to do!!

Okay so I guess I will try this blogging thing and see how it goes. Morgan, the boys and me are now living in Ogden, Utah. We moved here in May. Morgan is welding up by Morgan, Utah. He just passed his welding test so he's not considered a junk welder anymore. He is so excited that he passed his test. The job is winding down so we don't know how much longer we will be here though. The twins are so much fun. They keep me laughing and on my toes. I can't believe they are 7 months old. Wyatt is quite the busy body. He is almost crawling and he can sure get around army crawling and rolling. I can't leave him sitting on the bed anymore. I have to keep an eye on that one. Lancer is just easy going. He's content sitting on the floor playing with his toys. He has this huge toothless grin that just makes me smile when he looks at me. The boys are starting to play with each other--actually i guess it's just stealing the toy back and forth but it keeps them occupied (for a few minutes). And I'm keeping busy watching and playing with my boys and shopping. It's so nice to actually have stores to shop at. And it gets me out of the trailer for a break. It's a good thing that Wyatt and Lancer are pretty good shoppers.
